OUR SERVICES
SOURCING
As a leading source for natural stone, porcelain and a variety of architectural surfaces, we work collaboratively with quarries and factories around the world to present material options to meet our client’s design requirements and offer cost effective solutions. We maintain a sample library unmatched in the industry, which is constantly updated.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
We are proud of our Project Managers who approach each project as their own. Attention to each detail from design and conception, material sourcing, estimating, inspections, shipping to ultimate customer satisfaction. Our clients appreciate the relationships formed with our project managers; an inquiry is answered promptly (and always within 24 hours or sooner) with questions addressed, samples provided and orders processed.
LOGISTICS
Transportation and Supply Chain Management are key to any successful project. Our experienced logistics team directs and coordinates the entire order cycle; negotiating with suppliers, determining timely, efficient and cost effective shipping options. Tracking, troubleshooting and keeping abreast of ever-changing laws and regulations.
BULK PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Karen Pearse Stone and Architectural Surfaces developed a Bulk Purchase & Project Management Program for our national accounts. Working closely with our clients, our Bulk Purchasing program allows for consolidation of materials; we forecast construction schedules, distribute material from our warehouse to each location when needed and maintain inventory. Our logistics team arranges transportation to all jobsites meeting timelines and site requirements.
ESTIMATING
In addition to analyzing and identifying all the costs on our projects, our Estimators work with the Contractor and Project Managers to understand the specifications and client expectations and if necessary propose alternate materials based on labor and budget.
DRAFTING & ENGINEERING
Experienced in the stone and tile industry, our Drafting staff use their technical expertise creating material takeoffs, shop and construction drawings, utilizing AutoCAD to create accurate material specifications. They work closely with the Project Managers on all design modifications to ensure all design and material demands are met.
CUSTOMIZATION
With our global network of exclusive sources, we are able to produce beautiful, customized designs as can be seen in the material selected for the renovation of La Samaritaine in Paris. The choice of luxurious and rare marble and custom mosaics is only one example of our expertise.
FABRICATION
Karen Pearse Stone and Architectural Surfaces has its own local, custom fabrication plant. Our experts, with 30 years of knowledge and experience with all materials, inspect, template and cut slabs for custom projects working closely with our Project Managers and Logistics team to provide the highest quality service.
FURNISH & INSTALLATION
Not only sourcing the best material choices for our clients, our install team is trained and certified. As a sub-contractor, we create trust with the Contractor and ensure that the installation is done safely, correctly and efficiently.
CONSULTING
Karen Pearse Stone and Architectural Surfaces facilitates and manages all steps of the design process. We help to streamline the process aligning with our client partner to create efficiencies and control costs.

RECYCLABLE
Tiles can be recycled inside the production process when not fired yet, or once they have finished their life-cycle can be used as compact base material. On the contrary, many plastic base materials such as vinyl cannot.
CERTIFIED GREEN
We work with many products that are Green Squared Certified®. This standard provides a consistent set of criteria for evaluating product characteristics, efficient manufacturing, corporate responsibility, The Green Squared Certified® mark is a way to quickly and easily identify the most sustainable products available.
LEED CERTIFIED
A large number of materials that we work with here at Karen Pearse Stone and Architectural Surfaces we are LEED Certified Building Materials. These materials are recognized in five key areas of human and environmental health – sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, material selection and indoor environmental quality.
GREEN GUARD CERTIFIED
Karen Pearse Stone and Architectural Surfaces also works with products that are GREENGUARD Certified. GREENGUARD Certification standards are nationally recognized voluntary standards which establish requirements for low-emitting products used in indoor environments, such as building materials, finishes, furnishing, cleaning products and electronic equipment.
ZERO VOC & PVC
Many of our products are completely VOC & PVC free. Since tile is manufactured at temperatures that reach up to 2500 degrees F, it’s inherently inorganic, emitting zero VOCs. Tile flooring is also PVC free, a resin commonly used in other surfaces to improve mechanical flexibility and heat stability. PVC contains phthalates and organotin, both regularly a subject of concern and discussion among health experts.
REGIONAL RAW MATERIALS
Many of our materials used to make tiles are generally found within 500 miles of manufacturing facilities, dramatically reducing the energy emissions that come from long-distance shipping.
ECO-FRIENDLY AND SAFE
There are many tile options that are produced using recycled materials making it one of the most eco-friendly flooring options available.
