Known for creative solutions and one of the most extensive collections of materials in the world, our international team also has exceptionall expertise in project management, technical drawings, fabrication, installation and logistics.
Since its inception, Karen Pearse has provided over 180 million sq. ft. of architectural surfaces and worked on projects across 40 countries. We collaborate with the top quarries, manufacturers and fabricators to find the best design solutions for any project.
Our experience spans both residential and commercial projects, such as luxury private residences, yachts, high-rise buildings, boutiques, restaurants, hotels, and department stores. Recent clients include La Samaritaine, Paris; Burberry, Fifth Avenue Flagship; Thompson Hotel, Palm Springs; Saks Fifth Avenue; Maria Tash; London Jewelers and Louis Vuitton.

OUR MILESTONES
1981 - 1984
Karen Pearse joins the family business.
Developed industry first Bulk Purchasing Program for Macy's as a national account. This was the start of our awareness on how we can affect our imprint on the environment. Our approach to our industries business allowed consolidation of materials, savings on consumption of fuel, natural resources, and logistics.
Karen Pearse wins large residential condominium complex in Florida and travels to Portugal to immerse herself and oversee production of material and maintain highest standards of quality.
Inspired by the beauty of natural stone, Karen continues to travel to Europe to collect materials to showcase to the retail industry. Her client roster expands to high end retail department stores (Bergdorf Goodman, Gimbels, A&S, Saks Fifth Avenue).

Development of a new unique website for Home Depot where customers can view slabs online. A "Green" Initiative for porcelain products, such as "LEED" for Retail was created.
Karen Pearse was ranked among the top Women Owned Business Companies.

Patented Stone specifier – The development of the first Industry sample kit. Won Interior Design Magazine for most responses of changes within the industry.
2011
Begins China-to-China selling serving Gap China.
1987

Karen Pearse Stone and Architectural Surfaces was awarded Victoria's Secret flagship stores in Las Vegas and London.
1992
MGM Grand Hotel was the largest hotel in the world at the time. Karen Pearse supplied all the natural stone for the entire hotel, interior and exterior.
2017
Karen Pearse Stone and Architectural Surfaces opened new office and showroom on Fifth Avenue, New York.
1994
Karen Pearse develops the first stone looking Porcelain tile line saving on the earth's natural resources.
Awarded a multi-million dollar project with Sears. This gave the Karen Pearse Brand 8 of 10 largest retail chains as a client. She was awarded "Sears Vendor of the Year" award.
2019
Karen Pearse worked with renowned publisher Rizzoli to develop her book 'Splendor of Marble' featuring famous works by famous architects and designers such as Kelly Wearstler, Pierre-Yves Rochon, Bjarke Ingels Group, Joseph Dirand Architecture, and many more.

Opens fabrication facility, a 23,000 SF facility supporting commercial and residential business.
Launches "Stonemark®" the first Granite countertop brand partnering with The Home Depot for national distribution. Developed a call center to support 2,200 Home Depot Stores, creating 600 new jobs.
Awarded Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
2020 - 2022
Karen Pearse worked with Yabu Pushelberg and DFS to create and supply over 65,000 sq ft of bespoke terrazzo floors, custom mosaics, and custom marble fixtures for the renovation of La Samaritaine in Paris.
Karen Pearse supplied material for the billion-dollar project The Grand LA, owned by Related. Designed by Frank Gehry, this project consists of two towers, tower one is the hotel and tower two are the residential condos.
Among its many projects is the multi-million project, 531 Avenue of Americas. Karen Pearse supplied and installed natural stone and porcelain on this project which is part of the Million Dollar Listing.
Karen Pearse launches Karen Pearse Home, an e-commerce platform selling natural stone tiles, porcelain tiles and slabs, ceramics, as well as home décor items.
Developed StoneClone, the first stone replicated Porcelain tile line reducing the impact on the earth's natural resources.

Karen Pearse was selected by the Silverstein Organization to provide the cornerstone for the Freedom Tower at the World Trade Center.
Karen Pearse supplied the natural stone flooring for the Essex House Hotel New York designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon. This included public spaces, columns, and the guest rooms.
Opens five slab distribution centers throughout the US to support the national rollout of Stonemark® in 2,300 Home Depot stores.
Developed and trademarked Permashield a stain resistant technology for granite.
2023-2024
Karen Pearse supplied, fabricated and installed limestone for Burberry’s Fifth Avenue Flagship location.
Karen Pearse Stone and Architectural Surfaces Showroom relocated to ground floor space at 284 Fifth Avenue (30th. Steet).
